Если бы наши власти думали прагматично, то российские паспорта для выехавших за границу на ПМЖ выдавали бы бесплатно и на неограниченный срок. Так как те, кто приезжает на родину в гости, привозят туда деньги. А те, кто едет из России деньги, соответственно, вывозит. 
Меня, как либертарианца, такой вариант не совсем устраивает. В идеале паспорта должны выдаваться всем бесплатно, а за плату только в случае утери. Потому что неча...

Английское слово "cattle" - домашний скот,  в старо-английском также означало "деньги". Слово пришло из французкого  (еще раньше из латыни) и исходно было "chattel" и произносилось как "ЧАТЛ"
Забавно также, что исходное латинское было "caput", откуда собственно "капитал"

It's official now. I tried sashimi (raw fish) in local restaurant and it's fantastic.
The number of restaurants in this town is enormous. Hopefully we will have this weekend off and I'll see more of everything.

We went to the grocery store in town and .... I was ashamed of the fact that I can't even named 90% of the mushrooms they sold there. At least 20 different species in countless variations.
Add this to the image of Japan right next to the bullet train.

I know.. but this changing time zones could be very confusing. I called Sony today - figuring out time with my trick - "minus whatever hours and it's day there if it's night here" and ooops. My PC is still Pacific time and "minus 3" work just fine but it's day-day situation with Japan.
Yesterday night earthquake woke me up at 2am. There is device in my alarm clock in hotel and it's making tick-tick sound. I was not sure that was it and shake lamp, phone - nothing. And then it strike again - this time no doubts. I wait for sirens for awhile but it was small one.
Tomorrow we have Saturday off (regular week is 66 hours) and we are going to Kioto - old capital.
I'm always making virtual posting for the LJ but when I get to hotel - I fall asleep.
I'll get better soon and will write more.
